Reading Festival 2009

Reading Festival Rumour; Klaxons

I like maybe one track by this band, but to be honest I wouldn't mind if they played. Mainly because there are plenty of other bands to go see while these are on. They would suit the "indie" side of the festival though, and they are slightly better than the Arctic Monkeys, so that's a plus.

Reading Festival Rumour; Kings of Leon

With the massive success of their new single, rumours of their possible appearance at the festival in 2009 are rife. Adding to the rumour is the recent press release from Festival Republic, announcing that they have arranged tour dates for the American band. Although the news letter didn’t specifically say that the band would be playing at Reading, it seems likely as FR do organise the festival.

Reading Festival Rumour; Oasis

So after Noel decided to tell the world that Oasis have no plans to play Glastonbury, it looks like they could be set to hit Leeds festival next year.
However, these have been rumoured year after year and I'm willing to put it down purely to fans hoping it will eventually come true, and clutching at straws.

Warning

http://www.bookmetickets.com is offering Reading and Leeds 2009 tickets for sale. This is not an authorised ticket agent and may be connected to the sites redingtickets.co.uk and leedsfestival.net that left so many people ticketless last year. Would strongly advise NOT to purchase tickets from this site.

Then again if you had common sense or the ability to read, you'd know they are not official and therefore should be left well alone.

Reading Festival Rumour : Weezer

Do I hear a hell yeah?!? This band would be a welcome addition to any festival, especially Reading Festival. Class songs, class albums and a tash. A band's band singing about stuff more evil than Deicide with riffs more rocking than some rock. Seriously, one not to miss. Reading Festival 2009 would be complete with these bunch of yanks.

Reading Festival Rumour : Lostprophets

I would seriously rather be bummed by a dead relative using a saw than to, even imagine seeing these bunch of Welsh clowns who are known as Lostprophets, near anything resembling a festival, especially Reading Festival

Seem popular though. Goes to show many people can be very wrong... and Welsh. Let's hope Reading Festival 2009 is not visited by these clowns in any form.

Reading Festival Rumour : Green Day

Been there, done that with Green Day. Once you've seen them once, you know what to expect the next time. Album in the making from ex-Nirvana producer, Butch Vig. Not one for any other English festival really. Reading Festival seems the obvious choice.

Reading Festival Rumour : Arctic Monkeys

So yeah.... marmite rings a bell for the Arctic Monkeys. It's one of those bands you either love or hate. Played under Muse last time they were at Reading Festival on the main stage. If they do play, we'd expect them to get a large crowd.

If nowt better on, might be worth giving them a watch. A possible Friday headliner at Reading Festival 2009. Arctic Monkeys... take it or leave it.

Reading Festival Rumour : AC/DC

This should be a cracking rock band for the best rock festival - AC/DC at Reading Festival. They're rumoured pretty much each year though! With a world tour due soon for their new album, Black Ice, we'd say it was a good shout.
